Our monthly info/training evening is the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30PM. Meetings are usually held at Ashland Fire & Rescue Station Two, 1860 Ashland Street. Check the CERT Calendar for location and event updates.

Happy New Year, CERT community!
The Leadership Council is taking this time to thank you all for your support of CERT, WRAP, and the Ashland community. Together, we’ve accomplished a lot this past year, from two successful basic training classes to staffing inclement weather shelters and providing radio training to city employees. Our end-of-year Holiday Party was a wonderful celebration of the new CERT-WRAP partnership and acknowledged members for their service. Highlights can be found on the City of Ashland news page and listed below. Thank you all for your participation in CERT and WRAP. May your your new year be full of prosperity and gratitude.

Training: Evacuation Notification Field Training
When: Wednesday, August 10, 6:00PM–9:00PM (special start and end times)
Who: All CERT members
Where: Grove Community Center, 1195 E Main St #2271, Ashland, OR - IN PERSON
RSVP: None
This is the rescheduled training for evacuation notification, and will be taught by Chris Chambers. An outside field exercise will be included. This is our first in-person training by CERT in quite a while, with a very relevant subject. We encourage all active CERT members to participate.
Remember to wear your CERT vest and ID. Best practice is to bring your standard CERT PPE to all trainings (CERT Member Guidebook page 11). Radios will be provided.

We plan to have the radio team supporting 4th of July parade. Here's who has signed up with me so far. All active Ashland CERT members are invited to join the team. Tentatively, we plan to sign in at 08:30 and sign out at approximately 12:30. We can use up to 10 people, radios provided.

We'll watch the recent documentary, New Year's Underwater, about the 1997 flood in Ashland and the founding of Ashland CERT. Our live guests are filmmaker Ryan Pfeil with Jackson County Library Services, and Battalion Chief Kelly Burns, who was interviewed for the 20-minute film. This is an opportunity to look back at CERT's past and forward to the new Ashland CERT, which is already taking shape with your input. Come and share your own recollections and plans with CERT.
